In a subtle integration of AI in physical devices, Circle offers the chance of interaction without a conventional interface. The sole commands can take place through upward and downward hand movement.
To achieve this, we incorpotate real-time classification of sensor data measuring distance at set time intervals. Using the Tensorflow Lite library, which enables training and running compact machine learning models on a microcontroller, the device detects between each of the two gestures and an idle state.
The fixture was designed to provide versatility as well as another way of affecting the light without conventional controls, changing light intensity depending on the way it is positioned.
